In today\u2019s Q&amp;A session at Facebook Headquarters, Facebook CEO announced that his company is working on a Dislike button.\u201cI think people have asked about the dislike button for many years. Today is a special day because today is the day I can say we\u2019re working on it and shipping it,\u201d he said. It should be noted that in the past, Mark has dismissed the idea by calling it too negative.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-9\"><\/div>\n<p>He said that people have been asking for the Dislike button on Facebook for many years and it\u2019s the time to release this feature. He hoped that the button won\u2019t be used for showing negative emotions, instead it will be used for expressing empathy.<\/p>\n<p>Zuckerberg said that he didn\u2019t implement the idea earlier as he didn\u2019t want Facebook to develop a Reddit-style system of downvoting and upvoting. \u201cWhat they really want is the ability to express empathy.
